The show airs between 19:00 and 21:00 every second Thursday.

The show is hosted by YFM presenter Khutso Theledi and is available on the YFM 99.2 platform, the YFM app and DStv Channel 859.

The upcoming line-up for the show includes:

'Body shaming and redefining traditional ideas of womanhood': Thursday, 13 August 

According to the station, millennial women are said to have more confidence than women of any other century. Despite this, there are matters that trigger them, situations that bring them down and moments that shift them away from their positive spaces.

Perspective on Y will aim to unpack the stories of women who have been body-shamed and who have redefined the traditional standard of beauty.

The guests include:

Dr Mpume Zenda (Obstetrician and gynaecologist)
Zenda has an interest in sexual and reproductive health and sexual medicine. She will aim to unpack the psychology of body shaming and how one can become body confident despite what others say.

Ithu Sekhu (Author)
Itumeleng Sekhu was 11-months-old when a fire changed her life. She has had several reconstruction surgeries and suffered from depression. She wrote a book called What Do You See? that tells the story of what happened to her and how she came out stronger from the experience.

Boitumelo Ramatsi (Body-positive model)
The Soweto-born and based creative founded Spotted Beauty, a project that evolved from her personal Facebook page in 2012, to raise awareness around vitiligo. 

Both aspects of her identity has helped Rametsi see beauty as a 'celebration of an individual's own evolution'. She will talk about the difficulties of growing up to accept her vitiligo and becoming the relatable face for it.

Khanyi Mbau (Actress)
Mbau is a South African actress, television host and artist. She will detail her skin lightening journey and how her interest in aesthetics gave her a boost of confidence.

Christine Van Wyk (Bodybuilder)
Local bodybuilder van Wyk will tell how she fell in love with competing in bodybuilding. She aims to talk about the pros and cons of being in the industry and how, despite it having a 'dark side', she is still able to be body positive.
